Chey's Bedroom

Chey's bedroom is almost complete.  We still have a few things that need to be hung on the wall, but we'll work on that little by little.  Next on her "to do list" is comforter shopping.  Then her bedroom will be finished.

One wall complete.
Chey liken' her new room.

A Sunday Funday

Yesterday Jack and the kids piled in the Escort and made their way into Milwaukee.

Their first stop was the Lego store.  Definitely not what the little guy thought it would be so he was a bit disappointed.  But it's always fun to look.

Next stop was the lake front.  It was a lot of fun hearing all about their tour of Milwaukee.  The kids were still laughing when they got home about how many times Jack and his driving got beeped at.

And then ending the outing at Miller Park to watch our nephew play in the American Legion game at the stadium.  The kids totally thought it was pretty cool to watch Mitch play on the field the Brewers play on.  Very fun!

All in all a very fun day.  The best part for the little guy was getting a baseball from his big cousin Mitch (in which he slept with under his pillow!).  Who knows.....maybe one of these days we'll be back watching Mitch play either for or against the Brewers.  Way to go Mitchell!!!

New Shoes

Grandma and Aunt Pam took the kids school shopping this past Friday.  They each were in charge of shopping for the school supplies on their lists.  After they found what they needed (from their school supply lists), they could shop for fun.  The thing they got most excited about..........

their new shoes.

The shopping is done so they must be ready for school.  They insist they are NOT!

Hannah's Bedroom

The mission was to clean the kids' bedrooms.  That project turned into a bigger project.  Three kids with three very big ideas of how they wanted their bedrooms repainted.  Not just cleaned.  Not just rearranged.  But repainted!  This is something that can only be done one room at a time.  We started with Hannah's.

Hannah wanted a gray bedroom.  She picked out a color I wasn't too sure of in the beginning, but once it was all done, I really liked it.  Looks great with the white trim and accents.

My job is done.  I was in charge of the painting.  Now Hannah's in charge of adding the pops of color and personality.

The room all painted and ready to be decorated.
Hannah found a comforter that added some color to her room.

For the most part we are finished.  We are on the look out for a white chair for her desk (or one that we can paint white).
